Today we have been doing some tree surgery work in kings lynn, we are working on an Oak tree for the Borough Council… There is a lot of dead wood and the leaves are starting to look chlorotic (yellowing of leaves due to lack of chlorophyll) whilst climbing we also carried out a aerial inspection.
We started the day by a risk assessment then set up the site signs etc, Chris one of our tree surgeons was climbing today while myself and Rory were on the ground, the tree was over a footpath so we had to close this to avoid any issues with the public. We removed deadwood down to 40mm at the attachment point, crossing branches etc, we then decided to due a light reduction on the upper crown as some of the branches were quite exposed Chris reduced these by approximately 2m to suitable growth points, me and Rory then started to clear and chip the arisings.
