Tree Surgeons in Norfolk

Today our tree surgeons in Norfolk have been working near Norwich
The Job was to dismantle a large Oak tree. The work was for Anglian Water and the work was being carried out as the tree was shading a solar panel on the Anglian Water site (We are finding that solar panels are responsible for a growing percentage of are work now).

On arriving to site we did all the usual pre work checks these consisted of a surveying the work area for wildlife and a site specific risk assessment also had to be filled in by the team.
once these were complete we installed a tree cutting sign at the site entrance and locked the gates to stop Anglian Water workers working into the work area. We then started to dismantle the tree allow small pieces to drop into the target area, after all the brash was of the tree the climber descended from the tree and all the brash was then chipped on the truck.

The main trunk was then felled piece by piece again into the target area. Once the main trunk was down it was cut into manageable pieces and stacked into a neat habitat pile in the corner of the site. The woodchip from the site goes back to are yard and is stock piled until we have approximately 26 tons this is then taken to a power station in Norfolk.
