Tree Surgeon Norfolk

Today we have been carrying out some crown reduction work on some trees….
The work has been recommended by the tree and countryside officer and as being carried out for Kings Lynn and West Norfolk, the crown reduction was being carried out as the trees were approaching on the council offices, this would also allow more light into the windows.

The job was to reduce the overall crown dimensions by two meters in the first tree and approximately three meters in the second tree.

The work was undertaken on a Sunday as the trees were located on the main council car park and during the week this car park is full and there are also a lot of pedestrian movement.

We started the day with the risk assessment and then set up the site with signs and barrier tape, Chris was climbing today so while the site was being set up he started to make his way up the tree.

Once Chris had reach the top of the tree he found a suitable anchor point from which to work to carry out the reduction, there was no need to install a working rope on these trees as they were in open car park space with nothing under or near them in which falling branches could damage.

The rest of the team were clearing and stacking the branches ready to process into wood chip.
