This week one of the jobs for our tree surgeons in Norfolk was the crown reduction of this Oak Tree in Norfolk…
The tree was located within a conservation area so before any work could be done we had to apply to the local authority’s to get consent for the work that we had suggested on the tree work application form.
The tree was located in a utility’s company’s compound and was overhanging a neighboring garden buy about 8 meters so the suggested work was to reduce the crown to a radius of not less than 5 meters.
The garden was full of targets which had to be avoided there was a shed, greenhouse, oil tank, fence and hedge so everything and to be lowered using ropes and pulleys. All the work had to been carried out by climbing as there was no access for a MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) which would have made the job easier.
Norfolk Trees was established in 2002 by Ashley Barnes and we operate throughout Norfolk and East Anglia.
Our tree surgeons are all fully qualified for the tree work which they undertake and have many years experience in all aspects of tree care, which include dismantling, felling, crown lifting and reductions, dead wood removal, formative pruning, tree surveys to BS5837, tree hazard reports, pest and disease diagnosis, bat inspections, stump grinding or treating and tree planting.
Our fully trained staff allow clients to be confident and assured of the quality of our work and a £10,000,000 public liability insurance offers peace of mind.
